Rangpur Dinajpur Rural Service (RDRS) Bangladesh is a pioneering non-governmental organization that has been at the forefront of rural development in Bangladesh for over five decades. Established in 1972, RDRS has grown from a small relief organization to one of the country's most respected development agencies.
Our journey began in the aftermath of Bangladesh's independence, when we started providing emergency relief to war-affected communities in the northern districts of Rangpur and Dinajpur. Over the years, we have evolved into a comprehensive development organization, working across 31 districts to address the root causes of poverty and social inequality.
Today, RDRS Bangladesh operates with a clear vision of creating a just and peaceful society where all citizens can live with dignity, free from poverty, distress, and ignorance in a sustainable environment. We believe in empowering communities to become agents of their own development through participatory approaches and sustainable interventions.
